New Premium Rates for SY 2020/2021

Greetings from the Human Resources Department! We hope you and family are well and healthy.  We’d like to announce the New Premium Rates for SY 2020/2021.  Every school year, New Mexico Public Schools Insurance Authority (NMPSIA) has premium rate changes for Medical, Dental, and Vision.  The new premium rates will be effective October 1, 2020.  The New Premium Rates do affect employees who are currently enrolled in medical, dental, and vision insurance with NMPSIA.
The deductions have been updated for all employees.  The new rates have begun to take effect on the September 10th payroll.  The rates do show the full month premium amount, but this amount is divided by two payrolls each month.  The following are the New Premium Rate changes:

  • Medical: High and EPO medical plan options reflect an increase of 6.0%
  • Low medical plan options reflect an increase of 2.1%
  • Dental and vision rates remain the same.

Click here to view the New Premium Rates. You may also stop by the Human Resources Department to pick up a copy of the updated rates.
If you would like more information or have any questions concerning the New Premium Rates, please contact Arielle John at 505-598-1018 Extension 10126 or via email at [email protected].
