March Message

March 14, 2025

Ya’at’eeh Parents, Grandparents, and Relatives:
Happy March - “Wóózhch'ííd," which is derived from the sound baby eagles make when they cry, as they are growing and getting voiceful during this month.

Welcome to March 2025!  I hope that you have all enjoyed the new year activities and are now looking forward to our spring break - when we will be replenished with positive energy and joy  —the kind of joy and happiness that lasts for many days to come!
As we break from school, please be reminded that we have had many accomplishments:
1.    Students have been in school for days 137
2.    Students Attendance Rate is at 88.8%
3.    Weekly Attendance Awards to Students and Staff
4.    After School Tutoring - High Dose/Enrichment for Spring Semester continues
5.    Grades will be posted 3/14/25
6.    6th Grade will return to Naschitti Elementary School for SY 2025-26. We will have an official celebration and welcome for this transition in May 2025.
We look forward to returning to school on March 24 with new ideas, new conversations, new excitement, and genuine exploration:
?    March 17-21, 2025 Spring Break
?    Mar 25, 2025- Math Literacy Night 5:00-7:00 PM
?    April 2025 - ELA/Language Literacy Night
?    Apr 18, 2025- Good Friday (No School)
?    Apr 28, 2025- Navajo Sovereignty Day (No School)
?    Spring Music Concert
In the spirit of a new spring season, I want to share a small but meaningful initiative:
We will place a box - “IDEA BOX” in the Hogan entrance area for the creativity of our students, staff, and parents while fostering the exchange of ideas.

I hope you will share your ideas, thoughts, and recommendations so that we can continue to cultivate an environment that is safe, caring, and full of discovery, exploration, learning, and unique connections.

I look forward to our continued partnership and work together in educating your student(s). Please let me know if you have any questions.
