Sending positive vibes and warm spring time greetings to our Mesa Families! The beginning of the month of May is National Teacher Appreciation Week! We would like to give a well deserved “THANK YOU” shout out to all our teachers at Mesa and throughout the District and beyond! It has been a tough year and we appreciate all that they continue to do for students’ learning and social emotional wellness. Hats off and round of applause for all teachers!
We wrapped up testing the last week of April and we are on the homestretch for the fourth quarter. We continue to emphasize attendance and we will recognize those efforts for both in-person and remote students. As part of our Mesa Elementary attendance initiative we will be providing incentives! Additionally, we are planning an Extended Learning Summer Program that will begin on Thursday, June 03 and conclude on Friday, June 25. Parents or guardians will need to fill out the fluorescent yellow form that can be obtained from the classroom teacher. This needs to be completed and submitted to the teacher or Front Office by Wednesday, May 05 to indicate your interest in the summer program.
Lastly, our Mesa Team, in partnership with the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and the ECLIPSE Grant, will be hosting another Parent Education Session, TONIGHT, Monday, May 03 at 6:30pm on the topic of Literacy and helping your child read at home! The Zoom Link ID and Passcode can be obtained from your child’s teacher. Our last parent session will be held on Monday, May 17th. We will have door prizes and gift cards at the end of each session and we hope you can join us!
Thank you Mesa families for a challenging yet wonderful school year! Stay safe: wear a mask, social distance and wash hands!
