Mr. Mark Archuleta is a native New Mexican, born and raised in a small town Southeast of Santa Fe called Rowe near Pecos, NM.  As a Pecos Panther, he was involved in sports throughout his high school career and was a member of state qualifying teams in basketball, baseball, and track.
 
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education, and a minor in Physical Education, he began his teaching and coaching career in school districts such as Pecos, Pojoaque, West Las Vegas, Tierra Encantada, and Zuni.  The sports that he coached were basketball, baseball, track, and cross country for the past 23 years.  Mr. Archuleta was instrumental in coaching Little League and youth basketball in the Pecos area that eventually became state runner ups in baseball and state champions in basketball.  
 
In addition to coaching Mr. Archuleta has served as Athletic Coordinator for West Las Vegas Valley Schools, and Athletic Coordinator for Tierra Encantada Charter Schools.  While in Zuni, Mr. Archuleta was able to oversee projects that involved a new baseball field, help design a future football field/track and indoor training facility, and commence a new softball field and other sports related projects while he was the Facilities Manager at Zuni Schools.
