Greetings Eva B. Stokely families,
Our CCSD return to In-Person Learning planning committee met this week to review the New Mexico PED as well as the Navajo Nation guidance that has been presented. We want to recognize the challenges our families are experiencing due to the school closures and are committed to getting our children back to school as soon as possible. That being said, we also want to make sure that we do so in a manner that will not require another closure this Spring.
Since the Winter Break, Eva B. Stokely Elementary has surveyed families to complete a roster of students intending to return to school for in-person instruction. Unfortunately, we cannot open the school for in-person leaning until Navajo Nation lifts the lock-down and the state grants approval. At this point we are planning to be cleared to have students in class on campus by Monday, February 1st.
We will continue to teach ALL students through full remote learning that will include online learning instruction through Google Classroom as well as weekly instructional learning packets
Parents are encouraged to regularly communicate with their student’s teacher to ensure their child is engaged in learning as well as to seek extra help when the need arises. Please feel free to reach out to me should you have any questions or wish additional clarification.
