Equity Council bound for Minneapolis, MN
Equity Council travel to Minneapolis, MN
CCSD's student equity council will travel to Minneapolis to attend the National UNITY Leadership Conference.

Our students, along with 2500 native participants and advisors from across the country, will engage in hands-on leadership development activities. They will have opportunities to share issues with other tribes and address them together. "Absorb what you will learn and bring it back to your community," said Nathan Brady, who led a song and prayer before students left for the conference.

Kaydence Yazzie and Cody Tsinnijinnie spoke about the cultural things they will learn not only about themselves but from other students out of state. Elfreda Harvey, the Social & Safety Net Coordinator, mentioned how she's excited for students to gain leadership skills and cultural knowledge from the 200 tribes attending.

We wish our CCSD students a safe journey to the conference, and thank you for representing our schools and district!
