CCSD Wants Your Input

Dear CCSD community,

Central Consolidated Schools (CCSD) is asking for community input. The district will be facilitating discussions with a variety of stakeholder groups to better understand the knowledge, skills, values, and cultural/linguistic abilities high school students should have mastered by the time they graduate in order to succeed in college, career, and life. Our findings will help CCSD make plans regarding policy and practice at all grade levels, as well as develop local partnerships.

CCSD plans to partner with the Tribal Council and other community organizations. We will hold a series of focus/meetings throughout the community via Zoom to get the input of citizens. These focus groups will be held throughout the second semester and summer. Once the community meetings have concluded, a summary of community data will be presented to CCSD staff. As a result of this work, CCSD will develop a common vision for our students. The vision will be a community-defined profile(s) of a CCSD graduate. The profile will include defining characteristics of a graduate such as knowledge, skills, values, and dispositions.

Please contact Alicia Benavidez at [email protected] if you would like to become a part of the team of facilitators or if you have questions.

Today’s announcement is an important step forward to improving alignment and support to all students and community. We thank you in advance for your participation in this initiative and we look forward to hearing from you.
