Ya'ahteeh everyone! Summer school is already upon us. We are grateful to have your child a part of summer school. Summer school is currently available for students in grades 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
We embrace your child with an abundance of blessings to bestow on his/her learning. We take pride in teaching your child with utmost respect and integrity.
For SY2017-18, Naschitti Elementary School’s staff and teachers will begin their classroom instruction in August 2018. Teachers will review SY17-18 academic data prior to August 2018 to gauge their instruction by analyzing school, class, and student data in using state, local, and Federal assessments. For instance, teachers will analyze their student work to ensure that every child at Naschitti is given the opportunity to learn and grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Furthermore, teacher accountability will continue to include, but not limited to, implementing common formative assessment (CFA) for Math and Reading, as well as district interim assessments. The results from these assessments, for example, will inform teachers on students' aptitude and skills acquired, as well as providing additional support. In doing so, teachers will adjust and modify their instructional practices and methods of lesson delivery based on academic data to meet the needs of 'all' students regardless of preconceived notions of language barriers, disadvantaged status, and other factors that interfere with student cognitive learning.
Meanwhile, the rationale for Summer School instruction is to promote and assist your child to prepare him/her for SY2018-19.
