Dear Colleagues,
I hope that you had a wonderful summer and enjoyed a special time with friends and family. To our returning staff, I am confident that, as always, you return to work with renewed enthusiasm. Welcome back! To our new staff, we are happy to have you on board. Let's make this a great academic year together. We are all tasked with making sure Central Schools is a great place to work, learn and innovate.
CCSD is launching a comprehensive review of administrative processes and protocols. We are looking to maximize the impact of every position in our district, from our directors, principals, teachers, and building staff. We need to do more in every area and focus on the details that make districts a success. We all play a unique role.
It is my goal to build on Central Schools' tremendous foundation, continue the work on academics and athletics, and to focus on the socio-emotional well-being of our students –let's get to know what their in-depth needs are and how we can address the difficulties they face every day.
I want to encourage all our students to get involved and to think about what they want from Central Schools. Whether it is through one of our classrooms or our after-school opportunities.
The same problem-solving abilities that we exhibit in our offices and classrooms can be translated into how we interact with each other, on school grounds and in the community. Make everyone feel welcome. We expect nothing less.
Lastly, Central Schools is attracting some of the best professionals in the area. Our staff and students, come from a range of cultural backgrounds that makes us all better and greatly enriches our community. This diversity helps each of us grow intellectually and socially as we share different traditions, beliefs, knowledge, and perspectives with one another. We must remain committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for the entire community.
Colleagues, this year starts with great promise, let’s achieve all of our goals and create a place where cultures thrive. Thank you for all that you do to make Central Schools such a special place.
